Remembering is Honoring Part 1

It's been over 3 years since I moved here, to White River South, Africa. After our first year, with a failed partnership, we decided to start from the scratch. Literally, we had nothing but our starting team, the original 5 that landed on Peebles Road; fighting monkeys in the house, snakes on the porch, power outs every week, dirty water to bath in, so much.
God so lovingly guided us to a community called Mbonsweni. He also lead us to eventually partner with Mama V (Victoria), a pastor's wife caring for orphans out of her home in Mbonsweni. At that time, our staff did everything together. The combination of the focused work that's done in the initial stages of pioneering and having so little on staff, we worked shoulder to shoulder, every day, 5 days a week. Those were some beautiful times...I will never forget those times.
